Brooks Village Residential Hall

Architect: Hanbury, Evans, Wright, Vlattas and Co.
Contractor: Whiting Turner
Project Budget: $45M

Brooks Village is home to Brooks College, Baylor’s first residential college, and includes traditional components: a great hall, junior and senior commons, a faculty residence, and a chapel. The college also includes a library and resource center, group study rooms, and classrooms. It houses 700 undergraduate students, accommodated on two adjacent sites.

The project required the abatement and demolition of an existing residential hall, new utility infrastructure and significant earthwork modifications to prep the site for construction. Finishes included brick veneer, matching brick used on the rest of the campus, architectural precast, storefront and full landscaping.
